Meet the Golden Acre team

Our multi-talented team comes from a varied blue-chip background, together we provide comprehensive expertise to our suppliers and customers. A team of over 70 people, we have grown significantly over the last few years to expand our capabilities to deliver growth.

Neale Powell-Cook

Previously with KPMG and formerly Group Finance Director of Lactalis UK, Neale led the management buy-in of Golden Acre in 2008 with the vision for it to become a supplier to major retailers. Neale is a law graduate from Cambridge University and speaks fluent French and German.

David Mordecai

David has been a driving force behind Golden Acre’s development, nurturing supplier relationships and managing key innovation projects. Prior to joining, he was pivotal in the continental cheese division of Scandinavian dairy giant,
Arla Foods.

Sarah Forsyth

Sarah started at Golden Acre in 2001 and has been the dynamo in its supply chain and project implementation. She now manages a busy team of twenty six who are dedicated to making our supply chain the best in the business.

Peter McMichael

Peter is ACA qualified and a graduate in modern languages. He joined in July 2017 having spent more than 16 years working in the defence and aerospace consulting sector. Currently Peter is also Project Managing the Company’s approach to the opportunities and risks presented by Brexit.

Patricia Clark

Pat holds an MSc in Food Policy and Science from City University. Before joining in 2015, she held senior roles at Gate Gourmet, the world’s largest independent airline caterer, where she was responsible for ensuring factory compliance and for the development of new products.

Dan Sparshatt

Dan joined Golden Acre in September 2020, to lead the sales team. He brings a wealth of experience from over 25 years in the food industry with Sainsbury’s, Allied Bakeries, Whitworths and
Innocent Drinks.
